We needed to keep moving
Across the bay we could see the church, we knew if we made it there there would be a chance of water and shade. So we poured the the dregs from our bottles onto our t-shirts, wrapped them around our heads and set off.

A secret
There was a trap door in the cellar, we lowered ourselves down and a tunnel opened up, we looked at each other, smiled and set off.

Night
It was dark by the time we surfaced we walked in the shadows making sure no one could see our faces

Sleep
We finally found a place we thought was safe, a wooded glade up high in the mountain. A cool breeze providing some relief from the unrelenting sunshine. However our peace did not last long. The horizon woke our enemy.
